Jason Gastrich is Very Disappointed in Religious Right

Dear Supporters, Media, Ministers, and Friends,

I regret having to write this letter.

Being the only, Christian Minister campaigning for the office of California's Governor, I hoped to quickly gain the support of the Religious Right.  We have contacted Christian radio stations, Jerry Falwell, Greg Laurie, David Jeremiah, and numerous other churches, ministers, and organizations.  However, we have received a great deal of cold silence.

As an ex-student of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and a Minister who shares his theological viewpoints, I hoped to get Jerry Falwell's attention and support.  Perhaps he is too busy with other matters.  However, if a pro-death/anti-life candidate like the front-runner, Arnold Schwarzenegger (who is also pro-gay and who was against President Clinton's impeachment) wins the office of Governor, I'm certain all of the Christian leaders will be voicing their disapproval.

Since there was a lack of support from the millions of people who believe like I do, I decided to run as a write-in candidate.  What does this mean?  This simply means voters will need to write my name on the ballot to vote for me.  However, this shouldn't deter any of the Religious Right from getting behind my campaign and supporting me with television, newspaper, and radio ads.

If Christian Ministers, ministries, and organizations keep silent, then they will have no voice in deciding who becomes the next Governor of California.  Please encourage your spiritual leader to support my campaign and begin fighting the good fight.  There is still plenty of time to get things rolling and win this election.

I'm still extremely hopeful and optimistic about my campaign for the office of Governor.  I know that the Lord can prompt people to respond in a positive way.  I've seen His people support others and I know that we can do this.  Please prayerfully consider getting involved!
