Cruz Bustamante Lies on Television Advertisement About Proposition 54

It would seem that contradictions are common in Cruz' camp.  However, the recent contradiction in his television advertisement is far worse than asking people to vote "No" on the recall and "Yes" on Bustamante.

"As soon as I saw his ad, I remembered the exceptions in Proposition 54 and knew he was lying.  Prop. 54 clearly allows health officials 'to collect and use information related to medical research subjects and patients,'" exclaimed Mr. Gastrich.  This exception can be verified on the Secretary of State's web site: http://voterguide.ss.ca.gov/propositions/2-3-1-analysis.html.

In Bustamante's television ad, which is also on his web site (http://www.noonrecallyesonbustamante.com/noonprop54.htm), contains an outright lie.  It says, "Proposition 54 will stop health officials from collecting information they need to fight heart disease and diabetes."

"Misleading the public is detestable.  Cruz should retract this statement and stop his erroneous commercials from being broadcasted," added Mr. Gastrich.
