Tom McClintock Joins 22 Candidates Who Have Signed "The No New Taxes Pledge"

As promised, our campaign is giving a press release about Tom's recent decision to sign "The No New Taxes Pledge." His campaign received the pledge on August 19. They also received a follow-up message a few days later. On September 3, in the Walnut Creek debate, Tom said he was the only candidate to pledge no new taxes, so we contacted his campaign on September 7 and "called his bluff."
"I'm glad Tom signed the pledge. It shows that he is serious about it and won't raise taxes. I was beginning to wonder which pledge he took. 22 candidates have signed this pledge and he is the 23rd," said Mr. Gastrich.
