Mr. Gastrich Comments on Bill Simon's Departure

Yesterday, Republican, gubernatorial candidate, Bill Simon, quit the race to become California's next Governor.  At a press conference, he said, "There are too many Republicans in this race and the people of this state simply cannot risk a continuation of the Gray Davis legacy."

Mr. Gastrich thanked Bill Simon for leaving and wished him well.  "I'm saddened at Bill's departure.  In this historic recall race, he filled a void; as each candidate does.  Each candidate is so unique.  It is a shame to see him leave, but I wish him and his family the best."

Republican candidate, Jason Gastrich, has decided to pick up Bill's torch and begin campaigning even harder for the office of Governor.  He has also written a song and dedicated it to Bill Simon.  It is called, "Bye, Bye Bill Simon."
