Mr. Gastrich Files Final Paperwork for Candidacy

Over the weekend, Mr. Gastrich's campaign acquired 77 nomination signatures.  Only 65 were necessary.

The signatures and the final paperwork were submitted to San Diego's Registrar of Voters in Kearny Mesa.  Now, they must be certified as valid signatures and Mr. Gastrich will be an official candidate for the election.  Within 5 days, the Registrar will notify us.  If 65 valid signatures were obtained, his name will appear on the list of write-in candidates that will be in each polling location.  If a few more signatures must be obtained, we will have until September 23 to get them.  We don't anticipate having to get more, though.
